This simple tableware series is stackable and designed as a standard set suitable for everyday use around the world.
Designer Teruhiro Yanagihara took inspiration from the natural phenomena that inevitably occur during the porcelain glazing process, proposing a design in which the beauty of completeness and imperfection coexist. Rooted in the long-held Japanese sensibility that beauty resides in imperfection, he embraces the unevenness of glaze—once regarded as a flaw in Arita—and transforms it into a defining expression of the tableware.

The Teruhiro Yanagihara Collection uses a special glaze developed specifically for this series. Variations such as uneven glaze tones, pinholes where the glaze repels, the appearance of natural elements such as iron spots, and subtle differences in texture are intentionally embraced as characteristics of the pieces. These variations arise from the use of natural raw materials and the hand-crafted production process—elements that were once considered imperfections in Arita.
As a result, the color and glaze expression of each piece will vary from firing to firing, with differences in tone and pattern. Please note that each item is unique.
