Eleven years after the launch of the brand, the first concept book by 1616 / arita japan has been completed. Titled A Brief Moment ( ) A Long Tradition, the book reflects both the brand’s vision and a collection of products that enrich moments in everyday life across the world, while carrying forward the more than 400-year history of Arita porcelain.
The publication includes the history of Arita ware and Momota Touen, as well as a contribution by Teruhiro Yanagihara, and presents the full collections by four designers. It also features the craftsmen in Arita who take part in the production of the pieces, along with an art presentation centered on the TY Palace Plate by sixteen creators active around the world.
Composed of nine sections, the book approaches the story of the brand and its products from a variety of perspectives.
A slightly modified A4 format (23 × 29.5 × 3.5 cm), accompanied by an 8-page mini art book.
